Entrepreneurship
Located next to the Hsinchu Science Park, Taiwan's Silicon Valley, the Global MBA at NYCU helps to transform students into entrepreneurs ready to bring scientific findings to commercial world.
NYCU has a strong tradition of engineering and science departments. The GMBA leverages this asset by collaborating with other NYCU departments for great synergy. To enhance students' capacity for entrepreneurial commercialization, we provide two core courses called "Business Development for Start-ups" and "Entrepreneurship and Global Business Competition"
- Business Development for Start-ups:
- Overview of business planning process that will enable students to define, develop, and promote innovative initiatives on the creation of a new venture.
- Period: Spring semester for 1st year students (2nd semester of the MBA program).
- Entrepreneurship and Global Business Competition:
- Action-based course identifying feasible business opportunities and preparing to create new ventures.
- Period: Fall semester for 2nd year students (3rd semester of the MBA program).
To enhance students' learning experience, each GMBA member is encouraged to participate in international business plan competitions. A few examples of our students' favorite competitions include the SCG Bangkok Business Challenge@Sasin, Hult Global Case Challenge, NCCU Sustainability Competition, Cross-Strait MBA Business Plan Competition, etc. The NCTU GMBA has a strong tradition of success at these competitions:
