Great Weekend in Taipei

Ekaterina-Weekend in Taipei
As we all know, Taipei is the capital of Taiwan. The largest and most populous city. Accordingly, there are a lot of the most diverse leisure activities. Since Taipei is only an hour's bus ride from Hsinchu, it's the easiest and cheapest way to get there if you want to get out of the city.

Great weekend in Taiwan

Last weekend my girlfriend and I decided to spend our time there. In fact, as elsewhere in Taiwan, one of the most important components of a good holiday is the weather. Spring is the most comfortable time of the year for me, because it is not so cool anymore, but there is also no heat with high humidity. We were lucky with the weather.

In general, I prefer active rest. The more things you can do in one day, the better. However, in this case, the most important thing is competent and timely planning. As in a large major city, a lot of time in Taipei can be spent on the road from one point to another.

Taipei hosts a variety of exhibitions, events and activities. Last weekend, the Chiang Kai-she Memoriall Hall hosted an exhibition of Dali, where we decided to go first. From Taipei station to the hall, we got 30-35 minutes by subway. The hall area is very large. As far as I remember, there are three beautiful buildings with flowery lawns between them. The exhibition was in the main building. It also took us about 10 minutes to get there. The exhibition itself was also interesting with elements of artificial intelligence.

Cuisines from around the world

Next, we decided to go out to eat. In Taipei, you can find a variety of cuisines from around the world. This time we finally decided to try Russian cuisine. The owners of many foreign cuisines are also foreigners, and in a Russian restaurant. We ordered borscht, syrniki and plov. Everything was delicious.

After a short walk we decided to go to a bar. Also, the choice of restaurants is huge. We chose a small, cozy concept bar in Ximen. There, we met a very cool group of friends from different countries. And we had a great evening talking. At the end of the day we went back to Hsinchu.

In the capital, indeed, everyone can find activities to their liking, but if you want to get more done in one day, then as I mentioned the most important thing is planning.
