Valid Passport: As a foreigner, you will need a valid passport to enter Taiwan. Make sure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your intended stay in Taiwan. If your passport is expiring soon, it's a good idea to renew it before your trip.

Visa: Passport holders are eligible for visa-exempt entry to Taiwan for stays up to 90 days. This means you do not need to apply for a visa in advance if you plan to stay in Taiwan for less than 90 days. However, it's always a good idea to check the latest visa requirements and regulations before your trip to ensure compliance with Taiwanese immigration policies. Entry visa is obligatory for students which allows them to later acquire ARC.

Confirmation of Enrollment: If you are entering Taiwan as a student, you will need to provide proof of your enrollment at a Taiwanese educational institution. This can be in the form of an admission letter or confirmation of enrollment from your school or university in Taiwan. Make sure to bring a printed copy with you for immigration purposes.

Financial Proof: Taiwanese immigration and/or university may require you to show proof of sufficient funds to cover your expenses during your stay in Taiwan. This can be in the form of bank statements, credit card statements, or a scholarship letter from your educational institution. It's a good idea to have these documents readily available if you are asked to present them.

Health and Travel Insurance: It's highly recommended to have health and travel insurance coverage during your stay in Taiwan. Check with your insurance provider to ensure that your policy covers you during your travels and provides adequate coverage for medical emergencies, accidents, and other unforeseen circumstances.

Prescribed medications: since we discussed health, it is important to double check all the medications you require to thrive while traveling in Taiwan.

Local Currency: Taiwan's currency is the New Taiwan Dollar (TWD). While credit cards are widely accepted in Taiwan, it's always a good idea to carry some local currency for small purchases, transportation fares, and other miscellaneous expenses.

Weather-Appropriate Clothing: Taiwan experiences a subtropical climate with hot and humid summers. September is typically one of the hottest months in Taiwan, so be prepared for high temperatures and humidity. Pack lightweight and breathable clothing. Don't forget a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen to protect yourself from the sun.

Electrical Adapters: Taiwan uses Type A and Type B electrical outlets, which are different from the outlets used in Europe. If you plan to bring electronic devices, make sure to bring the appropriate electrical adapters to charge and use your devices in Taiwan.

Local Contact Information: It's a good idea to have the contact information of your school or university in Taiwan, as well as the contact information of the nearest embassy or consulate of your home country in case of emergencies or unforeseen situations.

In conclusion, preparing for your trip to Taiwan as a student from Poland requires careful attention to the necessary documents and must-bring items. Make sure to have a valid passport, admission letter or confirmation of enrollment, financial proof, health and travel insurance, prescribed medications, local currency, weather-appropriate clothing, electrical adapters, and a local contact.
