During my four-month internship at Volkswagen Group Taiwan, I had the opportunity to gain first-hand exposure to the operations of a multinational automotive group in Taiwan. Throughout the internship, I worked on several projects related to digital communication and data analysis. My responsibilities included supporting the development of the company’s corporate website, where I collaborated with external vendors in India and colleagues across different departments.

In addition, I analyzed LinkedIn engagement data to help improve the company’s content strategy and worked with vendors in India to develop interactive dashboards using Power BI that visualize business insights. These experiences allowed me to better understand how data-driven decision-making and digital platforms support branding, communication, and strategic operations within a global organization.

In addition to office-based projects, the internship also included several valuable site visits that provided a deeper look into the automotive industry. One of the visits was to the Volkswagen Group training center in Xizhi, where staff members introduced us to the facility's history and role. Today, the center continues to operate as an important training hub for technicians and partner service providers, ensuring that maintenance standards and technical knowledge remain consistent across the brand network.

Another memorable visit was to the Port of Taipei, where we observed part of the vehicle import process. At the port, imported vehicles undergo a series of inspections, cleaning procedures, and preparation work before being delivered to dealerships across Taiwan. This visit offered a unique perspective on the logistics and operational processes behind the automotive supply chain and helped us better understand how global automotive brands manage distribution and quality control in local markets.

During this journey, I also experienced moments of mistakes and challenges. However, these experiences became valuable learning opportunities. Through this internship, I was able to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges and constraints faced by the automotive industry in Taiwan. Working in this role also allowed me to work closely with senior executives, and I was fortunate to have the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions with them about the company’s current operational strategies and future outlook.

I am truly grateful for the opportunity to intern at Volkswagen Group Taiwan, and I believe the knowledge and experience I gained during this time will serve as a strong foundation for my future career development.
